JG | CD

Have I mentioned my favorite designer of all time? Hint: dramatic designs, theatrical shows, design director of CD, whose initials are JG.. Got it?? Good.

Well, it is none other than the great Mr. John Galliano. Thus, I'm dedicating my 70th post to him, presenting his best (and my favorite) collections, so far. Quick facts about Galliano:

... was born in Gibraltar
... graduated from Central Saint Martins at the age of 24, 25 years ago
... was the creative director of Givenchy
... holds the position of design director in Christian Dior since 1996
... was made a Commander of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 2001

Since a picture means 1,000 words, I'll let you drift in these gorgeous and wonderful images. Drop me a line when you finish and tell me which one's your favorite (mine's Dior Spring 09 Couture).

Shoes of The Day | 24 Nov '09

These are some of my favorite Spring 2010 shoe collection (photos via Style.com) and still more to come. I'm talking about Versace, Balmain, Sonia Rykiel, Chanel, Alexander McQueen, and aaahhh...so many more...

The zipper booties are perfect to make a statement, but I'll go for the black ones for sleeker look.

I don't usually love yellow, but the Miu Miu yellow platform pumps are gorgeous. I can imagine wearing it and feel empowered, yet chic.

Dolce & Gabbana

The Dolce & Gabbana straw pumps are one of a kind, very unique, I think. They didn't make any sense when I first saw them on the runway. But on second thought, hell yeah, why not??

On another note, I'm so excited about leaving for early vacation next week. I'm going to Singapore with my two besties and we're gonna have lots of fun!! Plus, I hope it's not too soon, but I'm starting to make my 2010 resolution. There are lots of things in my life that I need to improve, and new year's always the best time to start...

JFW 09: Rudy Liem and Lennor by Lenny Agustin

Still on Jakarta Fashion Week 2009, my other favorite collection is Rudy Liem's Dome Icon. Using batik and thai silk as main materials, he presented beautiful cocktail dresses with pleats, ruffles, and bow details. Inspired by Basilica St. Peter in Vatikan, this collection is a very feminine and elegant one.

The last show I attended was Lenny Agustin's LENNOR themed Playful Life. The collection was inspired by young people's lifestyle: dynamic, expressive, and cheerful. Like many other Indonesia's designer, she also uses batik as one of the main materials. It was a very casual collection yet unique and lively.
